1. Return Policy

Small Accessories

All small accessories may be returned for a full refund within 7 business days of purchase, provided the item is:

  • Unused

  • In original, unopened packaging

  • In resaleable condition

Shoes & Helmets

Due to the nature of these products:

  • Shoes and helmets are subject to a restocking fee and/or partial refund

  • If cleats have been mounted on shoes, the item becomes non-returnable and non-refundable

Custom Bike Orders

All custom bike orders are final sale and non-refundable.

Stock Bikes

Stock bicycle purchases:

  • Must be returned within 3 business days of purchase

  • Must be in like-new, unused condition

  • Subject to a 25% restocking fee

General Return Conditions

  • Original receipt required

  • Refunds issued to original form of payment

  • Labor, service, and installation fees are non-refundable

  • The Bike Lab reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet stated conditions

2. Rental Terms, Fees & Safety Rules

Assumption of Risk

Cycling and rental equipment use involve inherent risks. By renting from The Bike Lab LLC, the renter voluntarily assumes all known and unknown risks, including injury, property damage, or death, and agrees not to hold The Bike Lab liable for negligence.

Authorized Use & Safety

  • Renter is the sole authorized user

  • Helmets required for riders under 16; strongly recommended for all riders

  • No riding under the influence

  • One rider per bike

  • Night riding requires proper lights

  • All local and Florida traffic laws must be followed

Equipment Responsibility

  • Renter is responsible for all equipment from pickup to return

  • Full financial responsibility applies for damage, loss, or theft

  • Missing equipment fees:

    • Lock: $10

    • Helmet or lights: $20

3. Late Returns, Grace Period & Automatic Charges

  • All rentals include a 30-minute grace period

  • After the grace period, the next rental time block is automatically charged

  • 4-hour rentals returned late will be charged a full-day rate

  • Full-day rentals returned late will be charged an overnight or two-day rate

  • Late fees are non-negotiable

4. Damage, Loss, Theft & Credit Card Authorization

  • Credit card on file will be charged for:

    • Late returns

    • Damage

    • Loss

    • Theft

  • Lost or stolen bikes will be charged at full replacement value

5. Rental Cancellations, Refunds & Weather Policy

  • 24-hour notice is required for a full refund on rental reservations

  • Same-day cancellations are eligible to:

    • Move the reservation to a future date OR

    • Receive full store credit

  • Inclement weather qualifies for a full refund, regardless of notice

  • Weather determinations are made at the discretion of The Bike Lab

6. Minors

For any rider under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign and assume full responsibility.

7. Training, Equipment Condition & Repossession

  • Equipment is confirmed safe at checkout

  • Equipment shall not be used without proper instruction

  • The Bike Lab reserves the right to repossess rentals without refund for misuse or safety violations

8. Indemnification & Release of Liability

The renter agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless The Bike Lab LLC, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims arising from use of rental equipment.

9. Governing Law

All transactions and rental agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
